Meet Patrick
Patrick Gene Awtrey is a true son of the Midwest. A distant relative of the famous cowboy Gene Autry, Patrick grew up riding horses, hunting, and playing baseball in the countryside. From a young age, the value of service to our country was instilled in him by his parents. His mother served as a radio technician in the U.S. Air Force, and his father served as military police in the U.S. Army before later serving as a Baptist pastor. Patrick’s grandfathers were veterans as well, including one who served as a Green Beret and was awarded the Bronze Star Medal in Vietnam.
Patrick has been a Republican since high school, when he interned with his local GOP and trained volunteers on phone canvassing for conservative candidates nationwide. In college, Patrick reinforced his conservative beliefs while studying public policy and earning his BBA from the University of Michigan. Afterwards, Patrick settled in Northeast Ohio to join a local firm as an associate in the competitive world of private equity investing. Since then, he has spent every day helping to lead multi-million dollar acquisitions of commercial real estate across a wide range of markets.
It didn’t take long for Patrick to fall in love with the people of Northeast Ohio. Their work ethic, resilience, and patriotism have inspired Patrick each day to be the best American he can be. Along the way, this also inspired him to renew his commitment to that original value of service. This commitment turned into a calling, and so Patrick began this campaign to fight for Northeast Ohio.
Patrick has always been a passionate, outspoken advocate for what he believes. He has always been a fighter – incessant in his analysis of problems to find the most effective and creative solutions possible, always with his eyes on the big picture. He is bold and relentless in implementing those solutions, and tireless in seeing them through to the end.
Patrick has never held back in expressing his appreciation and pride for our country, and never will.
